So much Chuck E Cheeses and Now 47...

This is a fun game to play, I guess, if it weren't for all the waiting through ads. It also seems my character stops moving (or grow MUCH slower) if the game leaves the visible window when I scroll down or switch to another tab. But I think the greatest pain this game has so far offered is that when an ad plays, I can't see my mouse and am thereafter unable to find and click the "skip" button.

You know you can change the ad from Video to Simple, right? I don't mind a video ad playing alongside a preloader, but please change the in-game ads past the preloader to the Simple type.

I already remove all ads. hope you like it.

Dat Phoenix Wright scene... :D

PuffballsUnited responds:

I'm quite proud of that scene

Clear All Progress's warning screen is broken. "Back to Menu" button clears my data and "Clear all Progress" also clears my data but doesn't show that it did until you reload it. The only way to avoid it clearing data is to refresh the page or use NG's collapse/expand button. I'm raging at my screen right now. I've been horribly trolled after more than two hours of playing this game (oh gawd, when did it pass midnight?!).

Getting some of the rare items should be easier. I got my first sapphire within five minutes of playing, which gave me hope, but 'bout two hours later, I still haven't gotten another sapphire. I haven't gotten a dragonstone yet after more than two hours either. I don't see the purpose of being able to make dragonstone anything since by the time you could forge anything, every stat you have would be extremely high. There's really no need to get Bravery any higher than 250 anyway.

Also, it would be nice to buy a massive amount of coal or logs or smelt a massive amount of bars or sell a massive amount of whatever at the same time. I eventually grown to sell hundreds of steel bars at a time and buy thousands of coal at a time. Thankfully, I had an autoclicker that clicked ten times per second for me (which I also used during the mining scenes), but it still would have been faster and more effective to buy a set amount at a time rather than one at a time.
My last complaint: ROUND SOME NUMBERS. To the nearest tenth? Hundredth? Even thousandth would be fine, but god, the numerical places go on forever (well, not forever, but it's as bothersome as forever).

It's an enjoyable game, but some things are just too impossible. It's like trying to extend the replay value of a game with a bullsh*t achievement (ie "Hey, Beat This Game's Story Mode 500 Times!" Trophy). Add some more medals to fill in the gap. Despite playing this game for two hours, I wasn't awarded for many of the feats I reached. Medals are rewarded for things you do in the first few minutes, but not any more until hours later. One of your medals still has no winners - that's not a good sign. Also, please name your scoreboards something other than "Statboards[1-5]".

I'm too lazy to read over this review. I just want to get onto another game by now. Please pardon any errors.

Maxiecole responds:

Thanks for the comment. I will have to fix the bugs you said.
And sorry for that.

It's beautiful, but it lacks a goal. There's nothing for the player to do.

MrPoporucha responds:

In fact, the game doesn't have any goal yet,I'm just testing banwith and lag,to adjust resolution and sound configuration for the final version.
Thanks for the feedback.

It's a fun game. A few glitches lie here and there with the score resetting to a certain checkpoint sometimes and sometimes not, and the scoreboard doesn't open every time.

Also, is the dragon a cropped bitmap? If so, here's some advice to crop it better.
1) Make two layers, both with the dragon bitmap. Make one mask the other.
2) On the top layer, trace the bitmap with the default settings. After tracing the bitmap, the image will losing some detail, but that's fine since this layer will just be a mask.
3) Click on the white or background color and delete it.
4) Just the shape of the dragon will be the mask, and the color and details will show through from the layer below so long it's part of the masking.
5) Then just use the line or pencil tool to cut of the wings, as you already did here, and animate it, likewise, as you already did here.
If you're inexperienced with any of these functions of Flash, google them. It looks better like this in my opinion, since it removes most of the white, if not all. It's also great if you ever need to put your friends heads or something onto other things, but instead of just removing the background in that case, you'll need to remove anything but the head.

jacklehamster responds:

Thanks to your comment, I decided to fix the clipping of the dragon, it seems it was annoying other players.
Just a clarification about the glitches:
I didn't have the time to place actual checkpoints, so the "checkpoints" are just programmed relatively to where you died. That's why it sometime changes. ;-P
Also, I didn't want to interrupt the gameplay too much, so the scoreboard will only show up if you beat your high score. You can show it manually by pressing ESC.

I'll also use this spot to thank everyone else who put in comments, good or bad. I read all of them. I'm aware that some parts can be passed with just holding space, but I still have a lot of trouble beating the game even knowing that. You guys must be a lot better than me at this game. ;-P I can't change much of the gameplay anymore, because that takes the most work, but all comments are helpful.

-first game-
I don't quite understand how the game works. I mean, I know it plays like the Mario arcade game, but the health aspect alludes me. Why does a level reset after my health drop to one heart rather than zero, and why do I sometimes start with two? And why do I sometimes explode into blood after I hit a spiked slime from below? I know the cause of that isn't the timer running out, which, by the way, is an annoying, useless feature. What need is there for enemies to respawn at the top if you likely won't even have enough time to go after them?

-second game-
I can't remember whether this was in the original Space Invaders or not, but if it was, I find it as a fault nonetheless; I find it extremely annoying how I have to break through my own green shield thingies first before being able to easily attack the enemies. Sometimes after a level restarts, the shield and my health restart, and sometimes all the damage is carried over and I'm left with one heart. More often than enough, I restart on an older level.

-third game-
This game was just annoying. It tried to copy the great, unique mechanics of bit.Trip Runner and created many flaws of its own. Many times I died after jumping over a spike even though I clearly landed one or two tiles in front of it. Controls are annoying since bit.Trip Runner is a game where you have to think quick and be able to switch between actions quickly. This didn't work well here where you would maintain in a bullet form after pressing down to duck. This isn't much of a glitch as it is poor game design. "You win" medal didn't register after I got sent to jail, and my anger and frustration, as a result, brought what would be a 3.5 stars to 2.5.

Schulles responds:

Thanks for the review! :) I fixed the medal bug now.

This game's broken, unplayable, unfinished and lazy on the programmer's part to not even include a replay button. There's no means of reaching a finish line or proceed to another level, if there are any, and overall was a rushed project without much effort put into it.

But it's a start. Try harder next time and add some pride into your work.

zombievegeta responds:

it's hard with one life and you can go to the next level

Oh I see.

Kolumbo responds:

yes.

Poor game that probably took one person no more than a few hours, maybe even less, just to hate o a group of flash artists.

If I remember correctly, one of the rules of Newgrounds is that your flash cannot be intentionally hating another user. This is hateful towards both Edd and his friends. They have proven that they're not "using their dead friend" by donating profits towards charity and only keeping enough to themselves as a salary as if somebody else had hired them. Believe it or not, people need to be paid for their skilled labor.

As for the game, it's uninteresting and a glitched filled mess. In one instance, I made $500 before the timer ended while only needing 100-ish to pass the level. I like how you inplemented a check to see if the user is cheating, and for that, I applaud you with half a star, but it came out of the blue the first time and I didn't even notice that I had to click it until it was already 3/4s the way done.

Pickilow responds:

its not personal hate and its to a famous group.

It's a fun game, but I experienced a lot of lag that made it difficult to enjoy. It may just be my computer (and my laptop) though.

Also, I got first place in Level 4, yet the medal didn't register. That's frustrating...

royalin responds:

Hey there, glad you enjoyed our game!
Medals are working now , please check and if works rate us :)
Thanks

I don't know what I'm doing with my life...
